Classification: Canon
Name: Fawn
Age: Unspecified. Fairies don't really age, but she's been around for a few years by now.
Gender: Female
Physical: Image
As the wiki puts it,
Like all fairies and sparrow men, Fawn is small and hand-sized. She has a slender figure and sports an orange and brown dress with orange-yellow curl shoes. She also has a Hispanic-looking appearance. She has fair skin, light freckles, long braided light brown hair, and amber eyes.

Mental: In a single word, Fawn is a prankster. She enjoys playing games with her animal friends and her fellow fairies, though she has been prone to going too far in the past. She's one to listen to her heart, rather than her head, a fault which has put her and her friends in danger on multiple occasions.

It's not always fun and games with her, though. While she may play with the animals she takes care of, she takes her job seriously, and is known to have a motherly side to her.

Of course, given she's a canon we do have video of her. Here's some of Fawn at her purest.
Background:Like all fairies, Fawn was born from the first laugh of a child, and realized her talent for tending to the animals shortly after. As a young fairy, Fawn was adventurous, a tomboy, and quickly became one of the finest - if not the most troublemaking - nature fairies on the springtime side of Pixie Hollow. She and her friends shared several adventures together, from all throughout Neverland, however the adventure that was most important to her was her discovery of the Neverbeast, an ancient being that awakened every thousand years to save Neverland from destruction. When Pixie Hollow was lost to the darkness, Fawn was, to her knowledge, the only fairy to survive her homeland's destruction, due to the Neverbeast awakening once more to save her. Today, the two of them travel the worlds, searching for any sign of their old world.
Abilities: Fawn herself really only has two abilities of note, the winged flight that all fairies share (this is fueled by Pixie Dust, and is a finite resource) and the ability to form an emotional and spiritual link with any animal she sets her mind to. (The wiki has an entire list of ways to put it, but in a nutshell this basically means that she can tame any animal)

The Neverbeast, on the other hand... Well, he's basically a big animal. In times of danger, he grows wings, horns, and gets the ability to channel lightning - but in most cases he's just really lazy, going about his day-to-day life and looking for the nearest leaves to eat. We're looking at the most basic of paw-swipes, roars, and charges here for abilities - well, that and the fact that the Neverbeast possesses some capacity for intelligence.
Equipment: Pixie Dust, Notepad, Charcoal, and a few sketches of her friends.
Sample Post:
It had felt like weeks since Fawn had seen leaf or tree of Pixie Hollow - and for the animal fairy, it'd been rather rough. If it hadn't been for Gruff, as well as the fact that she'd at least had the good fortune to find her way somewhere with *some* animal life, she'd have gone crazy some time ago. Still, this place wasn't exactly the most friendly - already she had met several humans trying to "slay" Gruff, and, as she was admittedly somewhat used to by now, her words had little to no effect. Usually they screamed and tried to either trap her or kill her too. And then there were the black things, these annoying little imps that made their way through the shadows. Gruff could at least do something about fending off attackers, but these things - they were a constant threat, and nothing they did seemed to work.

At least the animals of this world were friendly - mostly. She'd met her fair share of foxes and rabbits a while back, and some of the locals appeared to have reptilian or feline traits, but this place also had some rather particularly aggressive bears and wildcats - not to mention she had heard talks about dragons somewhere in the mountainous regions of... well, wherever this place was. The animals all had their own names for this land, and going directly into a human settlement with no benefit, especially when they treated Gruff like they did, was something she wasn't about to try.

"Come on, let's head back to the forests and try to find some berries. It's getting dark soon, and I really don't wanna have to run from those things for another night." she spoke, flipping to an image of a Shadow in her sketchbook as the Neverbeast curved to the right. "I just wish I knew what they wanted..."

It had been a long journey ahead, but it was one Shulk knew he had to make. Slowly he trudged on, his solo "pilgrimage" taking him all sorts of places on the Bionis and introducing him to all sorts of new and exciting things he had never seen before - but with all the new sights to take in, all the new places he had explored - there was also plenty of danger. Little black critters, all attacking various points, giving him very little room to rest. He had long since learned the blade of the Monado was useless against the shadow-y figures, but the weapon was still somewhat effective - even without the blade he could use it as a bludgeoning tool.

It wasn't like things were anything like he had expected, either. Hell, this whole place had a different feel to it. There was the residential district, he hadn't spent too much time there - and then there was the shopping district. He'd set aside some gold bits that the strange shadowy figures dropped whenever he chased them off, the people here had called it money, even though the signs and billboards, for whatever reason, were all annotated "munny". Shulk had corrected maybe three or four signs mentally before he began to realize that perhaps the spelling was in-context. Nevertheless, once he had figured out what the bits were, and counted out his currency, he exchanged a few pieces for a serving of sea salt ice-cream, since it was something that appeared to be selling quite well. And, upon taking a seat on a few stone steps and pausing to enjoy the snack, he could see why. He'd have to get the recipe for this - surely the others would enjoy it, Riki in particular.

"Radiant Garden. Well, it's certainly a peaceful town, but I don't know of any gardens about here. Guess I haven't searched enough." he mused, holding up the stick so that it overlapped a nearby clock, before standing up and depositing the waste. "Wonder how this place stays so peaceful."

Featured In: Xenoblade Chronicles
Name: Shulk
Gender: Male
Species: Hom (Human)
Abilities: Visions - An unintended side effect of the Monado is that Shulk will occasionally catch brief glimpses into the future, warning him of future incoming attacks.
Monado Arts:
Buster - The blade doubles in length for a single, powerful downward slash.
Enchant - The blade emanates an aura that strengthens the user and allies, giving their weapons the ability to attack through armor and mechanical enemies.
Shield - The blade generates a barrier that protects all allies for a short time.
Speed - The blade enhances the user's physical prowess, allowing them to evade attacks easier.
(Note: All of these arts operate on the same "cooldown"; Shulk cannot use them continuously or indefinitely)
Equipment: Shulk's weapon is the Monado, a blade that was used by the Bionis in its struggle against Mechonis millenia ago. As the blade is dependent upon the will of its user, many cannot wield it.
Condition: Shulk is in good health, though between his past as a mechanic and his dependence upon the Monado he's not exactly the most physically fit.
Personality: Intelligent, has a slight fanaticism for machines and the like. Due to his intelligent upbringing, Shulk is rarely the first to take action, often preferring to think things through and approach issue methodically.
Morality: Shulk is best described as a Neutral Good character. He often tries to do things for the best, however the entire purpose of his journey is to avenge Fiora following her death in Colony 9.
Appearance: Standing at 5 feet and 6 inches.
Background: (From the Xenoblade Wiki) 14 years before the game, a group of Hom explorers left Colony 9 in search of the fabled sword. Their travels took them to Valak Mountain, where they disappeared. After them went Dickson, who found the bodies of the research team in the Sealed Tower, next to the Monado. He took the weapon along with the only survivor, who would grow up to be Shulk.

Shulk dedicated his entire life to solving the secrets of the Monado and thus is not only able to wield the blade without problems, but also able to unlock its great power. Shulk experiences this great power for the first time when he sees the future while holding the Monado in his laboratory. However, he learns that he has no control over what he sees, so he does not know he was granted foresight at the beginning.

When the Mechon attack Colony 9, Dunban, not yet recovered from his injuries, tries to use the Monado. When the Monado flies out of Dunban's hand, Shulk picks up the Monado. At this point, he gains the ability to predict the future, although not by choice. Thanks to the Monado's foresight, Shulk avoids getting killed. However, he is unable to damage Metal Face in any way with the Monado, which leaves him helpless against the Faced Mechon when he kills Fiora.

Shulk and Reyn decide to avenge Fiora and set out for Colony 6. While in Tephra Cave, Shulk has a vision of the Arachno Queen killing Reyn. The prediction proves true when Shulk and Reyn fall into the Arachno Queen's Nest. Shulk unlocks another Monado ability, Monado Shield, allowing him to change the future that the Monado had predicted. After this event, Shulk is able to use the foresight in all battles, and subsequently able to use Monado Shield to defend against enemy arts.
Sample Monologue:
"What drives me onward, you ask? Hm... Well, I wouldn't say my journey truly began until the Mechon attacked Colony 9. That was the first time I had experienced war, the first chance I had to learn the pain of losing one close to you. At first, I was blinded by anger, and left with the single thought that I would avenge her death."

"It's bigger than that, now, isn't it? Colony 9 got off easy; as for Colony 6, I'd rather not say. I didn't realize until then that I wasn't the only person to lose someone important. Then there's the Nopon, the High Entia... We're all here, united on Bionis, but I fear it might not be enough."

"I suppose that's why I'm here. Why I was called to travel to other worlds. A part of me wants to find powerful allies, to fight off the Mechon - but I'm not so naive to believe my world is the only one suffering. I want to make a difference; I was given the power to change the future, why shouldn't I use it to help others? A better tomorrow, then, is why I press on, why I continue to fight.
